Mr. Chaithep Pattarapornpaisarn, know as Mr.LEE, The first generation of Thai-born Chinese. His parents came from Hainan island, in the south China Sea . He began his career in hospitality industry since teens as food and beverage servers and worked his way up to Assistant Food&Beverage Manager at Dusit Thani Hotel-The Bangkok’s five Star hotel. For more than 30 years with his extensive background in F&B management and his strong inherited culinary skills, he decide to start his business venture, celebrated his first restaurant named “LEE KITCHEN” on Chan Road in 1989. Because of his core strength of restaurant business in both kitchen and service area, in short period his restaurant “LEE KITCHEN” had become a destination for famous businessmen, the cabinet, and Bangkok’s aristocrats. With a great success on Chan Road, LEE KITCHEN on Silom Road had been launched to serve Japanese market and formal business dinners. Here at Thaniya Plaza, Mr. LEE had his highest honor to host HM Queen Sirikit and Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn in 1992. Five years later in 1996, he founded “LEE Place” , a serviced apartment where it has a home-cooking style coffee shop - LEE Coffee House, and another LEE KITCHEN on 3th floor. He also expanded the business into casual restaurants LEE Cafe’ in late 2004, its first outlet at Erawan Bangkok- Rachaprasong. With an overwhelmed market response since then, now there are 10 outlets all over Bangkok, including Suvannabhumi airport. While the group of business expanding, Mr. LEE is still be the head chef of LEE KITCHEN, and take care of his customers constantly. He always updates his knowledge and develops his kitchen skills from time to time. He also goes to fresh markets by himself to control quality of ingredients, because he believes they provide the best dishes of his. Latest, in 2012, he is selected to be the IRON CHEF - Thailand, the T.V. show, as Chinese Cuisine Chef. Actually, he cooks well both East and West Cuisine, to fuse technique and ingredients appropriately is his talent. In the near future, he will open a chef’s table presenting his culinary professional though his cuisine to special guests who are interested in LEE recipes.
