Floral Floats, Leaf containers&Banana-Leaf Work : Krathong & Ngan Baitong : กระทงและงานใบตอง
พานขันหมาก: Phan khan mak = Wedding dowry tray. 
In Thai tradition, “phan khan mak” are brought by a groom to his bride’s family. 

“Mak” (areca nuts) and “Phu” (betel leaves), “phan khan mak” makes use of leaves and flowers for their auspicious symbloksm; “ruk” (crown flowers) for love, “dao ruang” (African marigolds) for prosperity, and “ban mairurouy” (Blobe amaranths) for everlasting love. Gold and silver bags are also essential components.

บายศรี: Baisri = Offering to Divinities

กระทง: Krathong = A container made from leaves

ลอยกระทง Loy Krathong = Ceremony which occurs on the 12th  lunar month’s full moon night, when offering are made to the river goddess

กระทงดอกไม้: Krathong dokmai = Banana leaf containers for flowers. 

Krathong dokmai (banana leaf containers for flowers) are used in conjunction with bundles of incense sticks and candles on a pedestal tray as a Buddha offering, or an offering to one’s spiritual guide at the beginning of Lent. A newly married couple brings krathong dokmai when paying respect to their elders.

Floral Accessories 

ทัดหู: Thad hu = Petals sewn on layers of patterned banana leaves (in different shapes) ,tied with a dangling floral tassel 

ตาข่ายดอกไม้: Takhai dokmai = Floral nets

เฟื่อง: Fuang = Floral garlands of sewn gardenias or crown flowers

ดอกข่า: Dokkha = Fabricated flowers made from petals; each petal is held together by a thin thread, forming a lotus like bud

อุบะ: Uba = Foral Tassels use to decorate hand garlands, floral pendants, pedestal trays, and elaborate floral floats.

There are many type of intrical floaral tassels
อุบะทรงเครื่อง: Uba Song Kreang = Elaborate floral tassels
อุบะพวงแขก: Uba Khaek = Indian-style floral tassels
                  อุบะหนึ่งชั้น: Uba Neang Chun = One-Stepped floral tassels
                  อุบะสองชั้น: Uba Song Chun =Two-Stepped floral tassels 
                 อุบะสามชั้น: Uba Sam Chun = Three-stepped floral tassels 

ตุ้มดอกไม้: Toom Dokmai = Sewn floral finials
The traditional Thai floral accessory made from flowers or petals sewn in pointed oval shapes. They  are the decorative finials of Phum dokmai, traditional Thai floral domes. Petals or leaves are sewn onto long thin needles to create a pointed oval shape, generally with a crown flower at the bottom, and topped off with crown flowers and small gardenias.
