Ms. Eri Inutake is a Flower Designer from Tokyo. She took a Basic Thai Floral Garland lesson with me while she was visiting Bangkok in March 2011. We spent all afternoon together for about 6 hours to make 2 small Malais (Thai Floral Garlands) "Malai Kleeb Rak" and " Malai Dok Rak". Both of them were made from Crown Flower (Dok Rak). Actually we use them as a souvenir in Thai wedding ceremony.
She paid a lot of intension and patient through all the processes to make them done. It took about 3 hours each from preparing the flowers, stinging them together until they were done. After she went back to her hometown, she wrote on her blog about her learning with me in Japanese. Then I asked her to write in English version in order that I can understand.
It makes me feel really happy after I read it, so I want to share my happiness to you all.
Thank you so much to Khun Eri...

She is Ms.Rrin.
Taught me Thai flower arrangement when I was in Bkk. Sooo charming !!!
She was so kind that picked up me at my hotel, taught me so kindly how to make Thai traditional flower arrangement.
While in the lesson, we could share lots of topics what we are interested in such as flower, cooking etc..
You know, we women, have lots of common topics all aver the world. ;-)
Sometimes laughed, sometimes seriously, enjoyed talking.
Anyway ....
I tried to make 'Malai' garland.
To make Malai, need to separate of flowers and combine the parts into it.
Sooo long long way... need care and patience.
The cabin attendants who I met on my flight to Thai said ' It's hardly make Malai nowadays in Thai. We buy them in flower shop.'
Sometimes Ms.Rrin helped me ...
Look at her good hands! Awesome !!
Finally, I had made them !!
Sweet Rrin said ' You made malai better than my first one'
Oh, thanks, because you taught me so kindly ....
Me looked tired and charming Rrin.
The lesson was held in a room of her father's restaurant.
He sometimes came and saw how we were going. ;-)
As I asked her I would have this malai lesson in Tokyo, she gave me the tools to make it such as special long needles.
Thank you so much, Rrin. I really appreciate it.
The next day, of course, I reviewed of the lesson harder than my school days !!!
The Rak flower the material of malai is able to keep dry condition as well.
Now, you could see the dry malai that I made in the lesson.
Ms.Rrin also teaches Thai cooking and fruits carving.
Someday, I hope we would have some lessons at my home in Tokyo.
(Don't worry, I'll be your translater..!!)
And also, I'm thinking about having the lesson to make malai recently.
